A suspicious object found on Tuesday at the site of Monday’s shooting rampage in the Bratislava borough of Devínska Nová Ves has proved not to be a bomb, Bratislava regional police directorate spokesperson Petra Hrašková told the TASR newswire on Tuesday.

Hrašková told TASR that the police received a call in which they were told that a box with unknown contents had been placed under a parked Škoda Octavia car on Pavol Horov Street, the street on which Monday’s shootings took place. Because of suspicions that the box could contain a bomb, a team of bomb-disposal experts was sent to the site to examine it.
