Two of the three people who sustained serious injuries during the gun rampage in Devínska Nová Ves on Monday, August 30, have improved while the third person remains in serious condition, the spokesperson for the University Hospital in Bratislava told the TASR newswire on September 1.

Both a police officer who was shot in the face and a young man who was hit in the collar bone were removed from induced comas on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

A Czech citizen is still in serious but stabilised condition.

Ľubomír Harman, 48, killed seven people and then himself, after he was wounded by police officers, in a shooting spree in which another 15 people suffered injuries, with 13 of them admitted to various hospitals across Bratislava.
