Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) leader Ján Figeľ is planning to meet former Bratislava mayor and current KDH MP Andrej Ďurkovský later this month to discuss issues that have been raised recently over unclear decision-making related to current construction work at, and possible demolition of, Bratislava's PKO cultural venue.
In addition, Figeľ wants Ďurkovský to account for what has been going on in the Bratislava Waterworks Company (BVS) in recent months and years. According to the current mayor of Bratislava, Milan Ftáčnik, there is every indication that BVS has been the subject to financial misconduct, as the volume of water produced has risen yet the amounts invoiced have decreased and water losses have increased. “We’ll talk about serious issues ... so that I can form my own opinion about what’s true,” Figeľ said, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
