Environment ministers from the Visegrad Group (V4) of countries adopted a joint declaration at the close of their two-day meeting in Šamorín (Trnava Region) on Tuesday, March 8.
The ministers of Slovakia (József Nagy), the Czech Republic (Tomáš Chalupa) and Hungary (Sandor Fazekas), as well as a deputy minister from Poland, exchanged opinions on a number of topics, including international negotiations on climate change policies, the TASR newswire wrote.
Representatives of the four environment ministries agreed on the importance of positive conclusions being achieved based on the ambitious agenda set at the Cancún Conference on Climate Change held in Mexico in December 2010.
