Opposition Smer party has again nominated Dobroslav Trnka for re-election as general prosecutor, said party leader Robert Fico, confirming that his application was submitted to parliament's office earlier in the day.

The vote on new general prosecutor will take place at a special parliamentary session scheduled for June 17. It is set to be an open, recorded vote, even though the Constitutional Court has yet to make a ruling on the constitutionality of that challenged procedure, TASR wrote.
