Slovak police detain alleged drug dealers in eastern and central Slovakia

Police in Košice have accused two men, 27 and 32, from Veľké Kapušany in the Michalovce District of illicit production, possession and distribution of psychotropic substances, charging that both repeatedly acquired pervitin (methamphetamine) this year and then sold it, the SITA newswire wrote.
Both men were detained in Veľké Kapušany on June 9 after the younger man purchased drugs from the older. The police found the older man in possession of a crystalline substance which could be used to produce 8 to 31 doses of the drug, together with another white, crystalline substance which could produce one to three doses.
The police also detained a 50-year old man from Nitrianske Pravno who was dealing methamphetamine. They were directed to him by one of his customers in whose vehicle they found two doses. According to Žilina police spokeswoman Jana Balogová, the police also seized syringes containing methamphetamine and components for producing drugs. According to a preliminary expert report these substance could have been used to produce from 70 to 280 doses.
The alleged dealer accused of illicit production, possession and dealing of psychotropic substances could be sentenced to four to ten years and the user could face prison up to three years.
