CONCERT:

World-famous guitarist Jeff Beck (who played with The Yardbirds and recently received three Grammys) comes to Bratislava on June 24 to give a concert as part of Spring Jazz Days. Hot Pants Road Club, a hot new Austrian band and the Slovak band Sto múch are also on the bill. EXHIBITION: Cena galérie NOVA: Sklo 2011 / The NOVA Gallery Award: Glass 2011 – The 3rd year of a competition for artists working with glass, organised by this gallery, focuses on 20 finalists from among 70 participants from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. OPERA: XXXVIII. Zámocké hry zvolenské / The 38th Zvolen Castle Plays – This popular festival combining opera and an open-air atmosphere at Zvolen Castle brings a host of events, among them the classical L’ Elissir d’Amore / Love Potion by G. Donizetti, conducted by Igor Bulla, directed by Lenka Horinková and performed by the artists of the State Opera of Banská Bystrica. This classical opera of Italian Bel Canto is very popular due to its light and playful character.

HISTORICAL CASTLE FEAST: XII. AIR SHOW:

The Aero-moto víkend, a two-day air show at Poprad Airport on June 25-26 will open the summer season in the High Tatras.
