Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski and his wife Anna are on an official two-day visit to Slovakia beginning June 21, the press office for Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič informed the TASR newswire. It is Komorowski's first official trip to Slovakia and the Polish head of state and Gašparovič are expected to discuss strengthening Polish-Slovak relations and partnerships at regional and EU levels, including within the context of Poland's first-ever presidency of the Council of Europe (July-December 2011).
The Polish president will also meet Slovakia's other top constitutional representatives, Prime Minister Iveta Radičová and Speaker of Parliament Richard Sulík. Talks with the mayor of Bratislava, Milan Ftáčnik, and representatives of the Polish minority living in Slovakia are also on his agenda.
Komorowski's schedule on June 22 includes tasting wines from the Small Carpathians region near Bratislava and a visit to an exhibition of Andy Warhol's works.
