A single candidate is running for the post of Slovakia's national representative at European justice body Eurojust: Ladislav Hamran, a current member of the body. His four-year mandate in the post expires on September 6. Applications had to be submitted to the Justice Ministry by the end of June, and the selection process is due to be completed on July 18, the TASR newswire wrote.
Hamran has been working as a prosecutor since 2000. Between 2003 and 2007 he served at the General Prosecutor's Office and at the Special Prosecutor's Office in Bratislava. He was appointed to the Eurojust post in The Hague on September 7, 2007, after then-justice minister Štefan Harabin dismissed one of his opponents, Peter Paluda, from the job.
