French orchestra from Réunion to play new Kechnec amphitheatre
The 54-piece orchestra “Polyphonia” from the French island of Réunion will perform in the newly constructed amphitheatre in Kechnec, eastern Slovakia, on Wednesday, July 20, at 19:00. The orchestra, made up entirely of musicians under 20, plays traditional tunes as well as Latino and French songs. Originally comprised entirely of accordionists, the orchestra later added strings, a singer and more exotic instruments such as segas, maloy and quadrille. The concert is free. In case of bad weather, it will take place in the Congress Hall of the Kechnec town-hall. Compiled by Spectator staff from a press release
