The government is proposing to allocate €1.91 million to support the activities of Slovaks abroad during 2012-2014, the Sme daily reported.

The government is proposing to allocate €1.91 million to support the activities of Slovaks abroad during 2012-2014, the Sme daily reported.

The government plans to build a memorial near Sad Janka Kráľa in Bratislava’s Petržalka district, which will be dedicated to “all Slovaks who are leaving their homeland to different parts of the world”, the daily wrote. Slovaks abroad will also have their own website www.slovenskezahranicie.sk and a commission composed of experts and journalists working for expatriate organisations and media.
