Telecommunications company Slovak Telekom which provides mobile phone services under the brand name T-Mobile, experienced a nationwide failure of voice services on its mobile network on August 30 from about 10:00, the SITA newswire reported.

The failure only affected users of pre-paid cards according to the company's spokesman, Andrej Gargulák, who said a defect on one of the company's network devices caused the failure.

"A technical failure occurred on one of network's devices on Tuesday at
about 10:00, which led to limited provision of voice services on pre-paid cards," stated Gargulák. Slovak Telekom remedied the failure and restored normal operation at 14:50.
