Parliament passed the so-called Atomic Act on Wednesday, September 14, restricting access to sensitive documents containing information about nuclear energy. The bill concerns information that could adversely affect international affairs or national security, the TASR newswire wrote.
The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ÚJD) classifies these documents as "important enough that their publication could abet the planning and execution of activities designed to violate or destroy a nuclear facility and cause enormous loss of life, property and environmental damage not only to Slovakia but neighbouring states as well".
