THE CASE file on Juraj Ondrejčák, known as Piťo and considered one of Slovakia’s mafia bosses, who was arrested in a recent police raid in Bratislava, was forwarded to the Trnava Regional Court on November 29, the TASR newswire reported. The court is expected to schedule the first court session within five working days of receiving the case file.
Ondrejčák was arrested on November 15 and ordered by the Trnava court to remanded in prison in Leopoldov, where he is currently waiting for a ruling by the court on his attorney’s motion for him to be released.
Ondrejčák and six other men were charged with crimes related to the torching of cars in Trnava and elsewhere in 2010, along with unauthorised possession and sale of guns.
The special prosecutor requested four of those arrested, including Ondrejčák, to be held in custody pending the outcome of further court proceedings, the SITA newswire reported.
