The number of Slovaks out of work rose slightly to reach 13.33 percent in November, an increase of 0.04 percentage points on the month, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Office (ÚPSVaR) announced on Tuesday, December 20.
A total of 387,714 people were listed as job-seekers in November, of whom 355,655 were able to begin to work immediately, the TASR newswire wrote. If the rate is calculated from the entire pool of unemployed people, including those who cannot start work immediately due to illness, for example, the figure stood at 14.74 percent, a rise of 0.12 percentage points on the year.
