EXHIBITION:
Currently being exhibited in the Typo & Ars Gallery in the Bratislava suburb of Vajnory are the works of naïve painters of Slovak origin from the Serbian town of Kovačica. Curator Ján Hrk is the former head of the Gallery of Naïve Art in Kovačica and he has taken the work of 11 contemporary painters as the basis for this show. Until May 25, their paintings can be seen in the gallery, at Roľníkca 349, in the afternoons, although the gallery recommends that visitors call in advance on 0903/477-074 or 02/4371-1988. DISCO/CLUBBING:
Trafoparkotéka – The popular May 1 celebration brings as its headliner this year DJ B-complex, accompanied by games in the form of Trafo hry, DJs from the Tlis student radio station and the Elam nightclub, plus DJ Stroon. The afterparty will move to Elam, where the admission fee will be a symbolic €1.

Bratislava Brass Day – The ‘zero’ year of this event tries to introduce different forms of brass music, proving that it can also work in a dance club. This time, Les Gros Tube (from France), plus the Hugo Čáves Orchestra and Funny Fellows (both from Slovakia), will bring music that is more typical of New Orleans than Bratislava.

Carl Palmer Band – Within the Rock v múzeu / Rock in the Museum series, legendary British drummer Carl Palmer – plus guitarist Paul Bielatowicz and bass player Simon Fitzpatrick, aka the Carl Palmer Band – will present his music as part of his 2012 Europe Spring Tour. Palmer rose to fame as part of supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

LITHOGRAPHY WORKS:
Dana Mezricky, an Austrian painter with Czechoslovak roots, presents her lithography works in the Galéria u anjela / At the Angel Gallery, Starý trh 53 in Kežmarok, until May 17. Her lithographs combine female nude portraits with motifs of nature, thus creating a unique poetic message, divided into four seasons.
