Schindler to build new production hall near Dunajská Streda

Schindler, one of the world leaders in production of escalators and lifts based in Switzerland, will invest €10 million in a new production hall near Dunajská Streda that could create more than 250 jobs, the Hospodárske noviny economic daily wrote.

After having opened a facility to manufacture escalators last summer, the expansion will allow Schindler to make lifts before the end of this year.

The mayor of the Kostolné Kračany confirmed to the daily that the town is in negotiations with the company, adding that Schindler currently employs about 260 people and the number could double.
