Defence Ministry will send a military police training team to Afghanistan
9 Jul 2012 Flash News
Slovakia’s Defence Ministry plans to send a two-member military police training team to Afghanistan in September to assist the allies within the ISAF operation, the TASR newswire reported.
The training team will act as part of a Czech military police training team in the province of Wardak. Its main task will be the training of members of the Afghan national army and police.
The Defence Ministry also announced that it plans to reduce the number of troops deployed to the EUFOR Althea operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 33 members to 24 in September and end the lookout post formerly assigned to a member of the Slovak armed forces, TASR wrote.
