Public Procurement Office (ÚVO) deputy chair Tatiana Behrová was sent a cartridge from a handgun and a threatening letter on Friday (August 10), it was revealed on Monday. In the letter, an anonymous sender states that he/she condemns one of Behrova's measures introduced since she took office last month.

"If you don't stop, you'll go faster than you came here [ÚVO]. This is the first and last warning, and if you don't stop with it, what comes next is the real thing in the envelope you've got! Mind what you're doing," reads the photocopy of the letter acquired by the TASR newswire.

Behrová has already turned to the police in the matter. She says she feels this 'active resistance' only makes her more confident that she is right, adding that the threatening letter will not discourage her from performing her duties. Behrová was appointed to the office on July 17. Before that she had spent several years as a professional consultant in public procurement.
