The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party on Tuesday, Ocotber 2, proposed a candidate for the post of the Supreme Audit Office (NKÚ) chairman to its fellow opposition parties, the Sme daily reported on its website on the same day.
The daily also reported that the SaS national council on Monday nominated Vladimír Klimeš, number 24 on SaS' candidate list in the March 2012 general election and former member of the gas utility Slovenský Plynárenský Priemysel (SPP) management board. Klimeš is the second candidate nominated by SaS after Kamil Krnáč. The latter decided that he would no longer seek election as head of the NKÚ following two failed attempts to be voted in to the post.
