5 Oct 2012 Flash News
Employees, trade unionists and their sympathisers will form a human chain from Štúrovo (Nitra Region) via the Mária Valéria bridge to Esztergom, Hungary on Sunday, Erika Bršelová from the Energy and Chemical Sectors Trade Union Association (ECHOZ) said on Thursday, October 4, the TASR newswire reported. The event is set to take place as part of the World Day for Decent Work 2012, announced by the UN's International Labour Organization (ILO). The goal of the day is to support people's right to decent work and a decent life.
"Apart from the human chain, we are holding talks with employers between October 1 and 14 in order to find agreement on further moves to improve the labour and salary conditions of employees in Slovakia," said Bršelová.
