Police to investigate possible bribery during airport privatisation, daily reports
4 Mar 2013 Flash News
Bribery may have accompanied the planned privatisation of Bratislava Airport described in the Gorilla file, an unverified document allegedly pointing to the irregular relationships between businesses and high-level politicians in 2005-6. Head of the National Crime Agency Milan Tököly has told the Hospodárske Noviny daily that the police will now start another criminal prosecution into the matter.
Though Tököly said he did not want to specify what the investigation will concern, the daily reported that it will focus on allegations of bribery involving the Penta financial group. Penta has denied unlawfully influencing the privatisation, which in the event never proceeded.
