Czech President Miloš Zeman will visit Slovakia in early April
19 Mar 2013 Flash News
Newly inaugurated Czech President Miloš Zeman will come to Slovakia for an official two-day visit on April 4. The visit is taking place at the invitation of Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič, the presidential office informed the SITA newswire.
This will be President Zeman's first foreign visit after becoming head of state in the Czech Republic earlier this month. The latest official visit of a Czech president to Slovakia took place recently when on February 26, departing President Václav Klaus visited Bratislava at the end of his term. Only a few days later, on March 6, presidents Klaus and Gašparovič met in Brno to decorate each other with the highest state honours of their respective countries. The winner of the Czech presidential elections in January, Miloš Zeman, replaced Klaus in office on March 8.
