General Prosecutor Čižnár appoints three senior staff members
9 Aug 2013 Flash News
General Prosecutor Jaromír Čižnár appointed René Vanek as first deputy general prosecutor, Peter Šufliarsky as deputy general prosecutor and Iveta Kopčová as the regional prosecutor for Bratislava, General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) spokeswoman Jana Tõkõlyová told the TASR newswire Thursday, August 8.
The Sme daily wrote in its Friday issue that both Vanek and Šufliarsky won the posts against no competitors. They have already announced changes at the GPO, but the elected and never appointed PG Jozef Čentéš will remain the deputy at the criminal department of the GPO. Also the two men who have led the GPO until now (as the general prosecutor’s office remained open), Ladislav Tichý and Dobroslav Trnka, remain in the office – but only as standard prosecutors, according to Sme.
