Foreign Ministry will coordinate human rights policy

SLOVAKIA’S Foreign Affairs Ministry will coordinate fulfilling the tasks within the human rights agenda in cooperation with other state institutions, according to the amendment to the law on organising the activities of government and activities of central state administration signed by President Ivan Gašparovič.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry will support and protect the human rights not only on national, but also on international level. The ministry will also coordinate the activities of the Government’s Council for Human Rights, National Minorities and Gender Equality chaired by the foreign affairs minister, the SITA newswire wrote.
