CHRISTMAS/EXHIBITION: Ľudový Betlehem / Folk Nativity Scene – The Nativity scene, popular as an artistic symbol of Jesus’s birth and first designed for a special Christmas mass by St Francis of Assisi in a cave, has become very popular in Slovakia and has been used widely in folk tradition. The large scene (2x2.5 metres with 17 figures) in Brezno was created during two woodcarving workshops in 2003 and 2004 by nine Slovak and Czech craftsmen.

EXHIBITION: KOŠICE Modernism is a notion in the world of art presenting the creations of artists who lived there, worked there or just visited the city. MODERN DANCE: Chaotica – The choreography of renowned Hungarian artist Pál Frenák, who also worked in France, is expressed through the language of contemporary dance with the help of a sophisticated stage design and presents the issues of solitude, desire, power, contact, and violence in their whole complexity.
