SLOVAKIA’S biggest ski resort, Jasná Nízke Tatry, received several quality International Ski Area Awards at an annual ceremony in Bolzano, Italy, on April 16, the TASR newswire reported.

It received the ‘Jumper of the Year’ award for its investments into the development of infrastructure and increasing the quality of services, while the restaurant in the former cable car station Luková was the most popular mountain restaurant. Bohuš Hlavatý, CEO of Tatry Mountain Resort, which operates the Jasná ski resort, became the so-called cable car operator of the year. The resort was also awarded for its high level of marketing, visual and content communication and presentation. Ski slopes on the Chopok mountain received a high mark for international quality and security.

“These awards are a great acknowledgement of seven years of efforts in the mountain business and especially an independent objective guarantee of the services we provide our clients,” said Sylvia Artzová, Jasná marketing director.
