FESTIVAL:
CIRKUL’Art 2014 is a festival featuring top performers in the ‘new circus’ genre. Taking place between May 23 and 25 in the Medical Garden on Špitálska Street in Bratislava, the festival presents foreign circus artists for both children and adults, including Hilary Chaplain, 15ft6, Solfasirc, Karin & Gili Keren and David & Fofo. P.I. Tchaikovsky - Piková Dáma / The Queen of Spades – This famous Russian opera in three acts reflects the social ups and downs during tsarist era, as depicted by the great writer Pushkin. This opera at the Slovak National Theatre (SND) is directed by Marián Chudovský, conducted by Rastislav Štúr/Pavol Tužinský and a cast including Miroslav Dvorský, Sergej Tolstov, Pavol Remenár, Dalibor Jenis, Jitka Sapara-Fische-rová, Adriana Kohútková and others.

XRACE, the new car show-race, is the continuation of the popular event Autoslide, this time combining paved and dirt tracks with several metre-high jumps. The racers come mostly from autocross and motocross, including Karol Šedivý Jr, Juraj Baláž and Dušan Králik, and foreigners Gerald Woldrich, Petr Maršálek, Luboš Kužel, Zoltán Simon, Alois Holler, Gábor Bánkuti and more.
