Unemployment rate in Q1 down to 14.1 percent

SLOVAKIA’S unemployment rate dropped in the first quarter of this year by 0.4 percentage points from a year ago to 14.1 percent. The Slovak Statistics Office (ŠÚ) informed about the results based on labour force surveys.
The unemployment rate in the first quarter dropped year-on-year for the second quarter in a row. Compared with the Q1 2013, the rate fell by 3.2 percent to 382,900 people. The unemployment rate of women shrank by 1.1 points to 13.9 percent, while it went up for men 0.2 points to 14.3 percent, the SITA newswire reported, quoting the ŠÚ.
