Kiska invites NGO representatives to his inauguration
6 Jun 2014 Flash News
PRESIDENT-elect Andrej Kiska has already sent out invitations for his inauguration ceremony on June 15. Apart from the ceremony itself and an ecumenical mass, there will be a formal reception dinner, to which non-governmental organisations and citizens awarded for civic bravery and integrity are invited, the Sme daily reported in its June 6 issue.
Among the invited guests are Ľudmila Kolesárová of the Good Angel charity, Zuzana Wienk of Fair-Play Alliance, Laco Oravec of Milan Šimečka Foundation, Zuzana Pechočiaková, a doctor who blew the whistle on the erasing of information in medical reports, and White Crow award laureates Vladimír Crmoman and Zuzana Melicherčíková, Sme wrote.
Etiquette expert Ladislav Špaček warned, however, that it is not advisable to invite controversial personalities who attract media attention or divide society.
Kiska will publish a complete list of the invited guests next week.
