HISTORY/RE-ENACTMENT:
AFTER 13 years, the city walls in Bratislava will be opened to the public daily from 10:00-20:00. Programmes will offer traditional crafts, archery, smithery, wine-tasting, local delicacies and shows in historical costumes. A kiosk of the Bratislava Beautification Association (Bratislavský Okrášľovací Spolok) offers souvenirs and will collect money for the reconstruction and repair of the walls.

World Music near Cathedral / World Music pri Dóme – Hanka Gregušová featuring Eric Wyatt – Slovak jazz singer Gregušová has joined forces with US tenor-saxophone player Wyatt, and with other Czech and Slovak musicians, they will perform music mixing musical traditions from all three countries.

Kultúrne leto na pláži Magio / Cultural Summer at the Magio Beach – Silent Trio plays acoustic versions of famous hits, with about 200 songs in their repertoire, covering the1960s through the present. Musicians include Richard Brúder, Michal Kovalčík and Daniel Miženko.

Šermiarske Utorky v Starej Radnici – Fencing Tuesdays in the Old City Hall – The Corvus Arma – Havrani ensemble hosts regular shows, featuring duels, dances, fire shows and re-enactments of torture and witch burnings, celebrating Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras.

MUSIC FESTIVAL:
International Youth Music Festival / Medzinárodný Mládežnícky Hudobný Festival – Youth choirs and orchestras will compete and present their talents for the sixth time within this festival. Ensembles representing several countries will perform in various open-air spaces, churches and concert halls in downtown Bratislava. The first part of the festival runs from July 10-13.

Pohoda – The already legendary summer festival at Trenčín airport will feature numerous, popular local and foreign musical acts, like Kraftwerk, The Afghan Wigs, Transglobal Underground, Fanfare Tirana, Putan Club, Marián Varga and Noneto, Ventil RG and the Ukrainian Philharmonic, as well as discussions with celebrities, politicians, activists and a range of other accompanying events.
