Rastislav Chovanec takes over as Economy Ministry state secretary July 10, according to an Economy Ministry document that was approved by the government a day earlier.

Chovanec’s scheduled appointment to the post was announced by new Economy Ministry Pavol Pavlis shortly after the latter took up the job on July 3.

“I’ll be changing both state secretaries for sure,” he said, as quoted by the TASR newswire. “One has already been selected, as was announced previously: it will be Rastislav Chovanec. The other one, who’ll deal with the energy sector, is still the subject of talks," said Pavlis.

The government is also discussing a proposal to replace current head Martin Holák with Roman Kováč. Kováč shall also take over on July 10.
