IVO Nesrovnal, a deputy in the municipal council of Bratislava for the Slovak Christian and Democratic Union (SDKÚ), might run for the post of Bratislava mayor for Radoslav Procházka’s recently founded Sieť party.

Nesrovnal confirmed on July 24 to have received such an offer, but did not confirm if he accepted it, the Sme daily wrote in its July 25 issue. Procházka commented that not everything has been agreed upon yet.

Until now, Nesrovnal was SDKÚ’s candidate for the mayoral post. However, if he accepts Procházka’s offer, he would have to leave his original party, regional SDKÚ head Michal Luciak said, as quoted by the daily.
