SLOVAKIA had drawn a total of €6.587 billion euros after a reduction by discrepancies from European Union funds in the programming period 2007 to 2013 within all 14 operational programs as of late July.
The utilisation rate thus represents 56.7 percent of the total commitment of almost €11.619 billion, the SITA newswire reported.
The drawing of EU sources increased by €135.69 million (or 1.17 percentage points) from the end of June.
On a yearly basis, the drawing of EU funds increased by €1.592 billion (31.9 percent) and the utilisation rate improved by 13.75 percentage points, SITA reported.
In view of the possibility of advance financing from the state budget, beneficiaries received funding totalling nearly €6.824 billion for implementation of projects by the end of July, according to the Finance Ministry. This increased the overall drawing to 58.74 percent.
Compared with the end of June, this is an increase by €117.75 million (or 1.02 percentage points).
The state’s co-financing of projects totalled €1.098 billion, which is 55.9 percent of the overall commitment of €1.968 billion. Compared with June, national spending rose by €22 million or 1.12 points. Discrepancies and refunds reached €43.07 million, which is the same as in June and represents 3.92 percent of the co-financing volume.
