VISITORS at Košice Zoo will be able to see the Siberian ibex, a species of ibex that lives in central Asia’s Altai Mountains, later this year, the zoo’s director Erich Kočner told the TASR newswire.

A new breeding facility will be built at the zoo under a project of cross-border cooperation between Slovakia and Hungary, with financial support from EU funds.

“The enclosure will expand the current viewing area of the zoo by nearly one hectare,” Kočner said, as quoted by TASR.

The project should be complete by June 2015.
