The cabinet approved the use of electronic bracelets and other devices to monitor people under house arrest January 7, and the Ministry of Justice plans to launch a pilot project of electronic monitoring July 1.
In the trial period, volunteers from the Police Academy and a university will be subject to electronic monitoring, but also convicts who are serving time in open-type correctional institutions, Justice Minister Tomáš Borec told Pravda daily.
