THE GOVERNMENT launched a new website which provides comprehensive statistics data about the development cooperation of Slovakia. This is another step towards more transparency and confirmation of its membership in the donors’ community, the TASR newswire reported on November 19, 2014.

Users can obtain information regarding the bilateral and multilateral development cooperation based on territory and sector criteria, as well as about specific projects Slovakia has carried out in partner countries and also view their location. The published information is based on statistics data from the information system for registering and showing the development assistance which is connected to the information system of Slovakia, TASR wrote.

Slovakdev.sk is the result of cooperation between the Finance and Foreign Affairs Ministries as well as a private company which focuses on IT. It currently only provides information about the official development assistance in 2013. The ambition is to also publish information about development assistance, to which countries it is sent, including the money which is allocated by Slovak NGOs and the private sector, TASR reported.
