Spectator University

Summer School offered by the American University in Kosovo The American University in Kosovo will host a Summer Program this coming summer. Young European of the Year 2009 The Heinz-Schwarzkopf ‘Young Europe’ Foundation, under the auspices of the European Parliament, is looking for young Europeans between the ages of 18 and 28 who have worked in an honorary capacity towards building understanding between peoples and/or European integration and who, in the process, have achieved exemplary success: Young people who have learned to act with initiative, personal commitment and a sense of responsibility, thus showing they are prepared to grasp the opportunities of our time in forging peaceful coexistence in a Europe of diversity are those who are sought. Slovakia: Summer School of Slovak language and culture The 45th Summer School of Slovak Language and Culture, Studia Academica Slovaca (SAS), will be held under the auspices of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University with courses held in Bratislava. Running from August 2-22, 2009, the course is aimed at all those interested in studying Slovak language and culture. This intensive programme is offered especially to university or college professors, experienced teachers, postgraduates and advanced undergraduates of Slovak and Slavonic studies, to writers, translators and anyone else interested in Slovak language and culture. Italy: International summer seminar on medieval architecture and archaeology The 27th edition of this international seminar on medieval architecture and archaeology will take place from July 20 to August 16, 2009 in the Italian city of Faedis. The Netherlands: Summer Seminar in Quantitative Medical Research The Erasmus Summer Programme, organised in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences (Nihes), a leading international centre for research and training in quantitative medicine and health sciences, offers three weeks with 33 courses in quantitative medical research.
