CLASSICAL MUSIC: J.S. Bach – The St. John Passion (German: Johannes-Passion), BWV 245 – The International Choral Academy, Lübeck perform for the first time in Slovakia, thanks to cooperation with the domestic ensemble Solamente Naturali. The founder and conductor of the Academy, Rolf Beck, chose Slovak soloists to collaborate with; Patrik Horňák, Tereza Maličkayová, Lucia Duchoňová, Matúš Šimko, Tomáš Šelc as well as Yannic Debus Bartłomiej Kłos. The oratorical work was premiered on Easter Friday 1724 in Leipzig. In Trnava, this work has only been performed once in the modern era, and so this is just its second interpretation in the city.
