CONCERT: Michelle Gurevich – The musician known also as the Chinawoman, comes to Bratislava for the first time. Michelle Gurevich will present her creations together with her latest album called New Decadence. The concert is part of the Anasoft Litera Fest. CONCERT: Noise Of Human Art – A Multicultural group N.O.H.A. (Noise Of Human Art), which plays a mixture of drum&bass, world music, dubstep and groove, will present its newest album called Process Of Living. OPERA: Eugen Onegin – The opera in three acts composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is performed in Russian and presents the timeless story of the human psyche and inner conflict over desire, conscience, duty and social necessity. LECTURE: Stop and Go – Lecturers Michael Hieslmair and Michael Zinganel will present their latest research project Zastav a choď/ Stop and Go, which aimed to investigate the physical and social transformation at nodes and hubs of transnational mobility and migration between Vienna, Tallinn and the Bulgarian-Turkish border. FESTIVAL: Bratislava City Days 2017 – This is the 14th year of the open days in our capital, which offer sightseeing tours of famous places, concerts, shows, performances, exhibitions and other attractions such as rides on an historic tram. INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL: Nu Dance Fest 2017 – The festival of contemporary dance and movement theatre is being held for the 12th time. MARKET: The Good Market – The event called Dobrý trh/ The Good Market in Jakubák is a special version of an urban market that is dedicated to local crafts and traditions. TENNIS: Fed Cup Slovakia – Netherlands – This is a World Championship play off to determine the best 8 teams in the world in 2018. COURSE: Drawing course (in English) – Portrait drawing is suitable for everyone from beginners to intermediates and includes three four-hour sessions on the basics of realistic portrait drawing. No previous experience is required. Desk easels, all drawing materials and refreshements are provided. The course is delivered by an Australian sculptor Robert Stollar. SCREENING: Visegrad Film Forum 2017 - This is a networking and educational platform, that is focused on film lovers, professionals and students. The aim of the Visegrad Film Forum 2017 is to create a space which crosses the borders of the audiovisual area of the four European countries. It will be possible to get close to the world of cinematography and TV production thanks to masterclasses led by filmmakers such as Ludovica Ferrario, Sergei Loznitsa, Steve Matthews and others. WORKSHOP: Welcome to Slovakia – this event was created in cooperation with the community of Internationals, Bratislava and is dedicated to those who have recently arrived in Slovakia. WORKSHOP: Fashion Revolution – The international movement, Fashion Revolution, is concerned with serious issues in the fashion industry. During the week Apr 24 to 30 several activities have been prepared. The program includes, for example, a workshop dedicated to the creation of new clothes from old ones and a discussion with people from the fashion environment and recycling. Visitors will also have the chance to see the Bratislava Fashion Map – a list of shopping places that offers manily Slovak and local fashion design. FESTIVAL: Craft Beer Festival – Visitors to the three-day-festival can ‚visit‘ breweries from around the world, tasting various kinds of beers and the guests this year are the small breweries from Croatia. PRESENTATION: Multicultural evening with artists – This is the 37th Pecha Kucha Night Bratislava, that presents various artists, architects, designers and other creators. The event is this time is being held in cooperation with the Festival [fjúžn] and is dedicated to artists, that come from different countries and cultures, but have stayed and worked in Slovakia and the other V4 countries for a long time. SHOW: Cirque du Soleil – The well-known international artistic group, Cirque du Soleil, comes again to Slovakia and for the first time they present their seven performances of the story named Varekai. SHOWROOM: The Bratislava Motor Show – Car lovers should be ready to visit the 27th year of vehicle presentations, where various car makes will be gathered together in one place. The exhibition will also include things like tuning and Camper van centres.
