FESTIVAL: Hip Hop Žije – The fifth year of the biggest hip-hop event in Slovakia with foreign headliners Fat Joe and Riff Raff. The accompanying programme presents free style battles, graffiti jam, streetball, a break dance exhibition and competition, beatbox battles. Opens: Jun 30 – Jul 2, Zlaté piesky. Admission: €29.50. FESTIVAL: Vinopolis – At the festival of wine more than 30 wine-growers from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Germany will introduce themselves. EXHIBITION: Stano Filko 2037 – An exhibition dedicated to one of the most significant but unfortunately deceased Slovak artists to mark the occasion of his 80th birthday. The ambition of the exhibition is to show the three-dimensional, planar and conceptual views of the artist of the world’s and a being’s structure. EXHIBITION: Like at home – The exhibition reflects the main influences on Slovak sculpture of the 20th and 21st century. EXHIBITION: Every family has its own story – A unique project presents family treasures and family stories from twenty members of Bratislava’s Jewish community from different generations. EXHIBITION: Obrazy a sochy (Paintings and statues) – Vladimír Kompánek, sculptor and painter, is the most famous protagonist of Galandovci and at the same time one of the most charismatic people of the Slovak painting scene of the second half of 20th century. EXHIBITION: Don Quixote – The exhibition presents the character of Don Quijote that became the inspiration for many artistic pieces, not only in literature. EXHIBITION: Dorota Sadovská: Yellow Embrace - Exhibition entitled Žlté objatie/ Yellow Embrace created by Slovak artist Dorota Sadovská presents her new installation, where visitors will have a chance to enter the spatial installation and feel as if they are in an actual “embrace”. IN-LINE: Inline skating – Approximately one thousand in-line skaters and also cyclists, people with scooters and skateboards can travel the roads that normally belong to cars on Friday night. CONCERT: Apocalyptica – This tour will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launching of Plays Metallica with Four Cellos. CONCERT: Andrea Bocelli – One of the greatest artists of Opera, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, has recorded 15 studio albums and three Greatest hits albums over his more than 25-year-long career. The holder of the Golden Globe in the category of song for The Prayer in the animated film The Magic Sword, who last year released his most recent album named Cinema, comes to Bratislava.
