Police officer surveilling journalists detained

Altogether three people suspected of cooperating with Kočner have been detained.

The Interior Ministry’s inspection service has detained former head of the financial police’s intelligence unit, Pavol Vorobjov. He reportedly surveilled several journalists, including the murdered Ján Kuciak, following the order of ex-police corps president Tibor Gašpar.

In addition, current deputy head of the National Criminal Agency’s (NAKA) financial unit Milan Mihálik and police officer Michal Zubčák were taken in, the Nastope.sk website and the Denník N daily reported.

The information was already confirmed by the Interior Ministry.
