Foreigners living in or planning to live in Slovakia will have the option to submit documents required by the Foreigners’ Police electronically in upcoming weeks.
Currently, the Foreigners’ Police departments face a significant increase in applications for a residence permit, Ladislav Csémi, director of the Border and Foreign Police, informed in a video published on Facebook.
The number is growing on average by about 30 percent a year, he added.
The first measure to solve this problem was introduced in May, when an online booking system for appointments was launched.
How will the new system work?
Applicants will submit their documents via the Interior Ministry’s website. www.minv.sk. There should be two language versions, Slovak and English.
