SARIO investments total Sk25.9 billion for 2005

THE SLOVAK Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) last year managed 48 foreign investment projects, totalling Sk25.9 billion (€692.4 million).

The incoming investors should create 7,219 new jobs, which could later expand to 9,463, the Hospodárske noviny daily wrote.

In comparison, the Czech investment agency, Czechinvest, last year managed 154 foreign investment projects worth Sk94.9 billion (€2.52 billion). These should create 21,653 jobs in the Czech Republic.

This year SARIO will compete for at least 140 foreign investment projects. The expected value of these projects was not disclosed.
