SE exceeds output plan in 2005

POWER producer Slovenské elektrárne (SE) produced 26,471 GWh of electricity in 2005, which represents an increase of 3.5 percent year-on-year, SE spokesman Rastislav Petrech told the TASR news agency.

SE thus exceeded its electricity production plan for 2005 by 15 percent.

SE, which should this year be taken over by a new majority investor, the Italian company Enel, operates three nuclear, two thermal and 34 hydroelectric power stations. Enel will own a 66-percent stake in SE.
