J&T enters cargo privatization

FINANCIAL group J&T has joined the ongoing tender for the sale of a 100-percent stake in railway company ZSSK Cargo by joining up with Rail Cargo Austria, the Pravda daily wrote.

"The companies created a consortium and will submit their bid in the second round of the tender," said Gustav Poschalko, a member of Rail Cargo Austria's board of directors.

The Austrian firm is a subsidiary of the country's railway transportation company Österreichische Bundesbahn. The bidders for ZSSK Cargo have until the end of January to submit their bids.
