Farewell to air crash tragedy victims today

SLOVAKIA today bids farewell to the 42 victims of the fatal crash of a military AN-24 airplane last Thursday, January 19, the daily SME reported.

The ceremony begins in Prešov at 11:00. Apart from top Slovak state officials, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Hungarian President László Solyom, Hungarian Defence Minister Ferenc Juhász and Czech Defence Minister Karel Kuhnl will also attend the ceremony.

Several Slovak TV stations will televise the ceremony and Slovak Radio will also broadcast the proceedings live.
