SEVERAL former and current members of the opposition New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) party who are close to former ANO Vice-Chairman Milan Kepeňa want to join the Free Forum (SF) party.
The Free Forum was established by former members of the ruling Slovak Democratic and Christian Union of PM Mikuláš Dzurinda.
According to the SITA news agency, around 60 people from the Banská Bystrica and Trenčín regions established an initiative for "polite and modern" politics entitled "Initiative". The group would like to talk with the SF about taking on part of ANO's liberal agenda.
"SF leader Zuzana Martináková expressed interest in talks starting in the near future. If she had not expressed interest we would not have established Initiative," Kepeňa said.
