Reader feedback: Euro would be a disaster

Re: Reader feedback: Just a media stunt, March 27 - April 02, 2006, Volume 12, Number 12

It would be a disaster for continued Slovak economic growth to adopt the euro. Even remaining in the ERM is a risky business, as we in Britain know all too well. When you lose control of your currency, you lose the ability to fine tune and control inflation. The "one size fits all" theory is ridiculous. European countries do not all have the same economies and needs. Besides, economic growth in the Eurozone is pathetic compared to the UK and "New Europe".
