EVENTS COUNTRYWIDE

The Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava enjoys introducing prominent foreign artists to Slovak spectators. This time, visitors can see Chefs-d'oeuvres, a comprehensive exhibition by Lórand Hegyi, the curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Saint - Étienne Métropole in France, which features contemporary and classical works from the museum's collection. The extravagant couple Gilbert and George present a photo installation that oscillates between pop art and social criticism. The Archive of the Dead Swiss by Christian Boltanski examines the pathos of death. Other artists include sculptors Jean-Luc Vilmouth and Patrick Tosani and painters Pascal Pinaud and Bernard Frize. The exhibition takes place in the Esterházy Palace at Námestie Ľ. Štúra 4. Open daily, except Monday, between 10:00 and 17:30 until May 28. Tickets cost Sk80.
